The former president's Granddaughter Gets Professional Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf Debut
This young athlete maintains impressive social media audience
The young golfer can count on numerous prominent supporters when she starts her LPGA debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, was granted a tournament invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
The former president, someone who loves golf, possesses numerous courses worldwide and regularly plays against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we play competitive games," she revealed.
She mentioned that her grandfather, unable to come, counseled her: "Just don't get nervous."
"My grandpa basically suggested to compete and relax," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's just a normal grandpa. He won't be there for the tournament. He's focused on presidential duties, so he's rather occupied."
While still amateur, the golfer has competed in only three events this year and holds ranking 461 in AJGA rankings.
But she's able to get advice from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He stands as the top athlete globally," Kai stated.
"And he's a superior person. He told me to go out there, relax, following whatever happens."
Kai will face multiple the biggest names in the sport at this tournament, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA mentioned that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to new audiences, especially reaching the next generation.
The social media influencer boasts millions of followers and recently launched her own apparel and wellness label.
She begins at late afternoon GMT.
