Franchise leads Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are set to reprise their roles in the new Hunger Games series film, Sunrise on the Reaping.
It has been confirmed that fan-favorite stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are returning to their iconic characters in the newest chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The film is currently in production.

The duo are slated to play Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, the roles they originated. It is believed their roles will take the form of a future-set scene, as the original saga concluded with their characters married and with children.

Sunrise on the Reaping draws its story from a newly published work by series creator Suzanne Collins. It serves as the follow-up prequel after 2023's The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Once again is Francis Lawrence, who was behind most of the previous films in the series.
